Established in 1964, KYODO PUBLIC RELATIONS CO., LTD., has not only grown to become a leading, independent public relations agency in Japan, but is highly regarded by both Japanese and international clients as the only agency capable of offering comprehensive media relations services. Kyodo PR was founded by Sakae Ohashi, who is still its president. The company now has over 200 clients, and 30% of them are multinational ventures. During the years Kyodo PR has developed a philosophy based on efficiency and personal contacts with the media.

The customers' accounts are serviced by more than 260 core professional staff (more than 70% dedicated PR specialists, supported by a strong administrative, information security, and sales structure). The professional staff are organised into 25 account teams, each with an average of 4-5 account executives. Typical accounts are supervised by an account team leader and are assigned at least one account executive and one assistant, with other staff and/or part-time associates called in for labour-intensive tasks.
